• December of 1904 (103 years ago! ) Hugo E. Quist Started the first newspaper in Hoffman called The Hoffman Advocate.
• 1909 J.S. Anderson created a paper which he named the Hoffman Tribune. in 1910, it was renamed The Hoffman Advertiser.
• From the spring of 1912 to the fall of 1914 The Hoffman Independent was made.
• W.N. Bronson started the present Hoffman Tribune.
Einer W. Carlson was the editor/manager from 1924 to 1963.
• In June 1963 Harvey and Audrey Beuckens bought the Hoffman Tribune from Verna Carlson. The Tribune was moved from the old print shop on Main Ave. to the current Tribune location on 1st St. North in 1964. The building formerly housed Benson Dry Cleaners and L. D. Hanson Shoe Store.
• In 1973, the Hoffman Tribune building was damaged by fire. New equipment was rapidly bought, and not one single issue of the paper was missed!
• In 1998, Kris and Jill Beuckens (Kris is Audrey and Harvey’s son) bought the business from them.
• In 2005, it was sold to Anne and Nick Ripperger of
Free Scout Press Inc. Kris Beuckens now serves as Sports Photographer and reporter.
